Birkenhead First and Wirral Transport Museum celebrate Chinese New Year from 1.00pm to 4.00pm on Saturday 28 January with amazing Chinese cultural performances and the chance to ride two very special trams from the Orient.

Hop aboard the only two Hong Kong trams operating anywhere in the world outside Hong Kong for a return trip ride to Woodside Ferry Terminal, with a Chinese fortune cookie for every passenger. There are special stops at Pacific Road Business Hub throughout the afternoon where you can see in the Year the Fire Rooster with the blessings of the lion dancers and Kung Fu displays delivered by China Spirit UK. There will also Chinese food to buy and a special bar.

The Hong Kong Trams will run every 15mins between Wirral Transport Museum on Taylor Street, Pacific Road and Woodside Ferry Terminal. The first tram will leave Wirral Transport Museum at 12.50pm and the final tram will leave Woodside at 4.35pm.

Entrance to Wirral Transport Museum is free. Tram ride tickets cost £2.00 adults / £1.00 children/concessions, with all passengers receiving a Chinese fortune cookie.
