The Lauries plays a pivotal role in supporting both Wirral's businesses and its people. With hands on support for new start and existing businesses available, it helps in developing and creating employment opportunities. By offering flexible and affordable office space, free or discounted meeting and training rooms, together with support for local groups, charities and other organisations, The Lauries is an active venue in supporting businesses and the community.
                        

Learning as a family helps us to become confident, lifelong learners. It helps children develop essential skills and achieve at school. It helps parents to reconnect to learning and transform their lives. Wirral Lifelong Learning have a range of courses available for parents and carers to develop a better understanding of what their children are learning in school. In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, all courses for parents and carers are currently available online.

Amongst tenants at The Lauries are companies and community based organisations, such as Kare Plus, Wirral Supported Lodgings, and Involve NorthWest (ReachOut). The Lauries facilities are regularly used by NHS Blood Donations and Wirral Met College for key events including training and recruitment sessions. 

 

Home to Birkenhead BID, Wirral's business improvement district initiative, which works within local business and social communities. 
It organised major community-based events, such as the 'Let There Be Lights' Christmas event which attracted thousands of people, and has introduced Town Hosts as Birkenhead 
ambassadors.

Community Action Wirral promotes, supports, engages and involves the amazing work happening in and around Wirral communities. Engaging with local communities whether they are part of a community, charity, group, company or an individual looking to make a difference! Part of their work is to help connect community groups to local volunteers, which can help make our community thrive.
